The sunset paints the walls of one of Russia's oldest churches, in the village of Kideksha, with soothing sherbert tones of pink and yellow. Their warm glow makes a lovely contrast against the black lacquer sky. A few swirling clouds hang over, adding movement, while tying earth to heavens with their echoing of the treetops. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on the lid with the title, artist's name (Kharyanova), and village. There is a hinge at the top, and the interior is red lacquer. It stands on four round legs and bears the phrase, "Made in Russia" on its base. A lovely scene.--BOX1269
