A huntsman readies his firearm, while his faithful dog eagerly awaits his cue to retrieve the fallen fowl. A hazy sunrise paints the clouds a pale gold above a tiny village tucked into the opposite riverbank. The calm waters sparkle in the early light, twinkling between the miniature trees which dot the shore. A winding path unfurls at the hunter's feet, twisting through a thick mass of slender trees. The warm colors of the sunrise reflect on the foliage, bathing the scene in a soft glow. An intricate golden floral border frames the scene. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on the lid with the title, artist's name (P. Mongaev), and village. He indicates that it is his own composition (not a copy of someone else) There is a hinge at the top, and the interior is red lacquer. The flush base bears the Mstera insignia.
