The blossom shines with silver and gold before a crimson mist, seemingly close enough to touch. Closer inspection reveals that it lies across frothy seas, atop a high peak. The scene is nicely painted in the traditional style, with bright colors, and a bold, graphic quality. This box is made of high quality papier mache and is signed on the lid with the artist's name (A. Drozdov), village, and date of completion. There is no hinge, and the interior is red lacquer. It rests on four round feet. A striking traditional work.
