The pretty maiden lays eyes on the most beautiful flower in the world in this scene from the Russian fairy tale "The Scarlet Flower". The colors are vivid, and the drawing, including the gold scrollwork, are very nicely painted for the price. We have several of these boxes, done by the same artist (K.T.), and all are very similar. The box is well constructed and has a hinge on the left. It is signed on the bottom with the name of the village, title and artist's initials.
