The black lacquer background creates an elegant contrast with the soft white dandelion down and pale foliage. Brilliant gold foil stems and stamens gleam against the darkness, and a bevy of tiny details add to the magic of this fairy tale scene. This box is made of high quality papier mache, and is signed on the side with the title, and artist's name (O. Kachalkina). There is a hinge at the rear, and the interior is red lacquer. The base of this piece is flush.
