A couple enjoy the outdoors just outside town in this pretty box by Kholui artist E. Kyazeva. The young man gently plays a song on his accordion as his friend lays her head on his shoulder. Vivid colors, crisp details, and radiant gold leaf in the sky and river are just some of the things to admire in this piece. The side is decorated with a nice gold ornament as well. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the top. The interior is red. There are carved legs on the bottom of the box which raises it slightly off the surface of the table. The box is signed underneath with the name of the artist, village and title.
