Seated comfortably at the table, a couple is enjoying hot tea and pastries. The colorful scene creates a beautiful contrast to the black background. The steaming golden samovar, simple interior, and striped socks on the feet of the couple all add to the atmosphere of domestic coziness.

The box is made from high quality papier mache. It sits flat, and opens without a hnge. The interior is red. Bottom of the composition is signed with the name of the artist, work, and village. Lacquer is in very good condition. Inside of the box contains a folded yellow slip of paper: original USSR Certificate issued by the Manufactory of Lacquer Miniature Art in Kholui.
