Golden ribbons create a rhythmic flow against the soothing blue tones of this unusual two piece work by Yu. Nuzhnova. The powder blue suits of a pair of musicians and the golden tones of their instruments emphasize harmony. A faint shimmer is apparent throughout as a silver foil underlay gleams beneath the surface of the base, complemented with the pale sheen of mother of pearl upon the lid. The box nestles into a subtle lip on the base, its decoration carefully placed to match enhance that of its resting place. All of the surfaces are decorated, with the same attention to detail throughout. This box and its accompanying stand are made of high quality papier mache. It is signed on the top of the base with the title, artist's name, and date of completion. There is a hinge on the left, and the interior is red lacquer. The bottoms of the box and base are flush.
