The Snowmaiden is accompanied by six birds in her favorite setting of the snow covered woods. The moon rises above the fir tree behind her. The face of the maiden has been drawn with great care and the gold on her coat cuts through the wintry atmosphere with a brilliant radiance. Very pretty indeed! The sides of this light blue box have an understated two line ornament. The interior is red and the box has a hinge on the left side. It is signed with the artist's name (L. Novoseltseva), year and village on the bottom of the drawing.
