A pair of butterflies visit a patch of lilies and other flowers in this lovely work by Kholui artist Lepshina. The slight dusting of metallic gold on the flowers, leaves and butterlies gives the composition a delicate look and basks the objects in a beautiful warm glow. There are two nice gold and silver ornaments on the sides. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the left. It is signed with the name of the artist, village and title. A cut above most boxes which depict flowers, and a perfect substitute for flowers when the special occasion calls for it. Only this gift will last a lifetime.
