Nina Lopatina, born in 1948, studied at Palekh art school under the very famous Palekh artists N. Zinovjev and B. Nemtinov. Lopatina graduated the school in 1968 and already started to participate in different art exhibitions in 1970. Her miniature works are in Palekh museum, All Russian Museum of Decorative and Applied Art, Art Fund of Russia. Her skill also enabled her to participate in painting of the lacquer panels. She is married to another Palekh artist, Nikolaj and both are mentioned in the book "Russian Lacquers, Legends and Fairy Tales" by Lucy Maxym as being some of the top Palekh artists. Nina is a very friendly and hospitable person who loves flowers and has a wonderful collection of traditional folk clay toys.
