Three sons of the Tsar shoot arrows off to point their way to their sweethearts, and indeed find their future brides. Ivan, meanwhile, finds a frog. Darn the luck! The frog seems to roll the arrow in her hands and is drawn with a funny expression on her face that seems to say "well, well, lookee here". The box is bursting with all the beautiful colors that tradition Mstera art is known for. The details, as well, are painted with the skilled hand of an accomplished village artist. A nice gold and silver frames the drawing, and adorns the sides. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge at the top. It is signed with the name of the artist (Danilova), village and title. It sits on four very small round legs. A very nice traditional work at a great price. By the way, you may have guessed by the title of the box that the frog eventually turns into a most beautiful princess, the one Ivan was indeed looking for, proving once again that some good things are worth the wait.
