A young woman playfully touches her braided hair, tied by a red ribbon hanging down close to the ground. The ribbon has a beautiful golden red radiance to it, and this glow extends to the central area of the flowers in her hair. The sides and bottom are adorned with a phosphorescent gold paint and a red line ornament. The box is made out of high quality papier mache and has a hinge on the left. It is signed on the bottom of the drawing with the name of the artist, village and year. This box continues a series of similar boxes by the same artist, two of which you can see here and here. They are all truly delightful and would add a nice touch to any lacquer box collection.
