Those who want the best in Russian lacquer art will probably first want to check to Showcase A. Here we will place our premier pieces -- boxes of unquestionable quality done by accomplished artists from the four major villages Fedoskino, Mstera, Kholui and Palekh. Each week you will see some of the finest boxes in the world in this section.

Showcase B will feature a more modestly priced group of works. In many cases, these lacquer boxes will not have quite the level of refinement as those in Showcase A, but they are still beautifully hand-painted and hand-drawn by Russian artists. The majority of boxes sold on the streets and in the shops of Russian towns would fit into this category, as well as most boxes sold on internet auctions.
